• Charles H. Williams was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on March 18, 1950. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1972 from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the honorary societies of Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1975.

  Williams and Williams was formed in 1975 by Charles H. Williams and his father, Marshall B. Williams, Sr. Marshall B. Williams, Sr. served in the South Carolina Senate from 1953-1995, and was President Pro Tempore of the South Carolina Senate from 1989 until his death in 1995. Charles H. Williams is married to Karen J. Williams, who is the former Chief Judge of the Fourth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Orangeburg County Bar, South Carolina Bar, American Bar Association, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, American Board of Trial Advocates, Litigation Counsel of America, South Carolina Super Lawyers, and American College of Trial Lawyers.

Korea's growth surge began in the mid-sixties. Policy began to change in the late fifties. At that time Korea's government placed quantitative restrictions on almost all imports, but the restrictions were looser than in many other developing countries. The government began to provide export incentives to offset its protection for producers of import substitutes. At first this failed to work, perhaps because the currency was overvalued, leaving too great a bias against exports. In the early sixties the government dismantled its multiple exchange-rate system, devalued the currency, and (because devaluation helped exporters) reduced its export subsidies. These liberalizing reforms were the turning point. Exports began to grow rapidly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a free market system, however, I often wonder if global corporations are becoming too powerful.. . Their heavy influence on politics in terms of money contributions, lavish gifts and lobbying are actually the least of my concerns.. . I'm just wondering that with the constant push towards globalization and emerging markets in Asia, how do we as people know that these corporate leaders will not end up trying to control our lives?. . In a way, they already do. They brainwash us with their commercials (they spend billions of dollars on their ads...they wouldn't do that if it didn't work) and they also control economic prosperity in entire regions.. . They use us when they need us and they throw us away when they don't. They outsource, lay off and gouge prices.. . How do we know that some giant corporation will not one day tell us when to eat, sleep, and do anything else. They could even have enough money to build their own militaries....

No.. But on the bright side- you've learned not to trust Microsoft products.. . What on earth possessed you to do client side form validation using Microsoft proprietary software?. It won't work on anything other than Microsoft kit- there are a lot of Mac/ Linux/ mozilla/ Opera/ Mobile users out there.. . To salvage your code- couldn't you validate server side?. It's not as neat, but if it took you two weeks to do it in ASP, it'll probably take a lot longer to get it working cross browser in javascript.. (just remember to populate the form fields when you send the incomplete form back to the user- it's really frustrating when you have to fill in EVERYTHING 'cos you forgot one little detail)

I personally find it good therapy for you to reclaim some of yourself. I know that many women have real issues with not having the same name as their children. I have many 1/2 brothers and sisters from divorce and I have not heard of any of them complain when their parents names changed. After all, if you remarry someday, it will change again, right? My brother did note to me this weekend, that when he was forced to use a name other than our father's, it effected him badly, although our father didn't care, he was ashamed to tell him that his mother (the ex wife) was making him go by her new husbands name. He has kept his biological father's name by the way, but certainly, kids should not be forced to change names. For you, I think they will be just fine with it. Perhaps you could even ask their opinion too.. . I wish you well, divorces are hard things to go through....Good Luck
