    lawyer Peebles, Edith T. Reviews

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your Grandmother.. Neither Wills or Trusts are "on file" anywhere. Trusts are not public documents since there is no Probate. Wills only become a public document when a Probate is opened and a Will is presented to the Court. Your Grandmother's Revocable Living Trust became an Irrevocable Living Trust when your Grandmother died. Where there is a Trust, there is no Probate unless your Grandmother had assets outside of the Trust . You can't force a Probate. . The power of attorney also died with your Grandmother. If your Aunt is listed as the Administrator of the Trust, she has certain responsibilities under the law. The Administrator or the Attorney who drew up the Trust is required, under the law, to provide a copy of the Trust to any beneficiary of the Trust who requests it within 90 days of the death of the Trustor (your Grandmother). If you are not a beneficiary, then you are not entitled to a copy and, legally, you can not get a copy. A Trust is a private document, not a public one.. . I would advise you to contact your Grandmother's lawyer and tell him/her just what is happening. Ask if you are a beneficiary and if so, ask for a copy of the Trust. Since the 90 days has passed, he/she may or may not give you a copy. It may become necessary for you to retain an attorney to get a court order forcing the Administrator to turn over a copy of the Trust to the beneficiaries.

I'm a tad curious why you think a 9-year-old should be driving in the first place. That's insane.
