For those in doubt, try telling the parents of school children that it is more likely for their child to be attacked by a swarm of bees or struck my lightening than to be abducted by strangers on the way too or from school. They don't WANT to know, and will insist that it is appropriate to be fearful even when confronted with evidence that the fears are unfounded.

Is it best to have my dads car, house, bank acct. with my name on it if I am his only heir to the estate?

Does anyone know the legal issues surounding a complete name change? Here is why I want to know. I am considering changing my name back to the name I was given at birth (instead of the name I was given at adoption) I want to know what legal issues this will create. Dipolmas from school, marriage liscenses, banking issues and others. Love to hear from anyone who has done this as well. Thanks..

student in her final year. Her above average performance is a direct result of her hard work and strong

Also your college degree, no matter what it was in, should in my opinion be at or near the top of the resume'. If it's 'training as a security guard,' think of some way to tie it in with the job for which you are applying. Perhaps you could say in your cover letter, "Although my degree was in "Security Guard Work," I acquired personal interaction skills during my training that make me an excellent candidate for interacting with customers... Something like that.. . But you've already done the hardest part, LaShae, which is put together a rough draft which spella out in a positive way what skills you've acquired in your job history. All you need to do now is thin out your resume' to make it shorter. Then google "free job resume templates," choose one, and plug in the above information.. . Then write a simple COVER LETTER. You can find free examples of cover letters too, online. Address the cover letter to the personnel manager by name--if you don't know it, then call the company and say, "I'm applying for a job with your company. Can you tell me the name of the person who is in charge of hiring people so I can address my letter directly to him or her?" Then plug the name into your already-composed cover letter and send it along with your resume'.. . But don't wait too long if there's a particular job that you want or else they'll give it to someone else.. Block your resume' and cover letter TONIGHT, call for the personnel manager's name first thing tomorrow morning, and then fax/ email the information right away so that the company's personnel department will receive it early in the day. Then call the company in the afternoon or tomorrow and ask to speak to the person by name, just to ensure that he/she has received your resume' and cover letter. Then say something like, "I really am interested in working for your company, and I hope you'll consider me for the position. Thank you.". . Good luck! You've got a good chance at getting the job if you act right away. If you don't get it, though, you'll have a great resume' and cover letter already pulled together for your future interviews.. . PS: Date each new cover letter for each job application with the current date but DO NOT put a date your resume'.
