Well since you're over 20, you're a legal adult. So by law, you're parents getting a divorce wouldn't have any effect on your last name.. . However, you CAN change your last name legally. It's a very tedious process though- passports, licenses and other records would need to be changed. I would contact your local DMV or perhaps speak to a lawyer
