K, so my fianc? and I are going to be married in April of next year. We plan to be married aboard a cruise ship. We want to invite everyone along for those who would like to go. Then when we come home we are gonna have a second wedding so that all our family and friends can attend. Both our families have asked what were doing and how and instead of explaining 100 more times We would like to send out a letter letting everyone know what our plans are. Not save the dates but an actual letter. I'm just wondering where can I find a sample of this.. Thank you for all your help.. The purpose of the letter is to inform everyone of the upcoming events. I don't think that it is fraudulent to tell everyone that we are having a second wedding when we come home . As the word fraudulent means deceitful, deceptive, crooked, underhanded. Which we are doing none of those things. We simply want to tell people our plans. So regardless no one will be mislead, because the 2nd wedding will be so that they can all share in our celebration because a lot of them are upset that we are marrying so far away from home, and they will not be able to attend the cruise.. Also "Word of mouth" doesn't really work when you have family all over the world. So that is why I am looking for a better way to get the word out as I have literally explained at least 100 times, as we have been engaged for a while. Thanks for your answer though..

Make an application to the appropriate Court that handles this in your state. Go to your STATE website - I believe all states have one these days. Find the Court link on the site and there should be a 'search' box where you can type in 'name change' and it will tell you the process. Here in Delaware, for example, it has to be done through Family Court, as part of a parentage determination process.

I am applying for several different ski resorts. For one of the ones that I am applying for, a cover letter is required. The cover letters that I find in examples are all really long and formal. Should I write a long, formal letter for a resort job that doesn't require former employment or training? The option that I have for the cover letter is to write it or post it online (to the application), it isn't an uploadable coverletter.. . What do I do?. . Thanks!.

I think you want a living will. A power of attorney designates a particular person to make decisions for you. A living will spells out what you want in general, and doesn't designate anyone in particular.. . If you want someone other than your next of kin to make decisions, you really need a power of attorney for the person you want. This is especially important for couples who live together but aren't married, because the partner will be left out of medical decisions in favor of a blood relative.. . I found a link that has some samples. You can write your own and have it notarized or have your signature witnessed by two persons who saw you sign it.. . I hope this helps.
