  • Daniel P. Scholfield is an associate at the firm of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November 2012 and has a general practice covering both civil and criminal litigation.

Dan earned his juris doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he was the valedictorian of his class. While in law school, Dan received the Academic Achievement Award (the top grade in a given course) for ten of his courses. At different times during law school, Dan interned with United States District Judge Alfred Covello, the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut, three law firms, and was a research clerk for three professors. He also served on the Civil Justice Clinic, was a Publications Editor on the Quinnipiac Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Society, and a member of the Society for Dispute Resolution. While on Law Review, Dan's note "Was it a Surprise Attack? How the Second Circuit Used Civil Procedure to Diametrically Change 'Class of One' in Ruston v. Town Board," 30 Q.L.R. 163 (2011), was published.

Following law school, Dan spent sixteen months as a research clerk for the judges of the Superior Court with the office of legal research, where he gained knowledge of the inner workings of the state trial court system. He spent ten months performing research for judges on the civil and criminal dockets, and six months as a clerk dedicated to the complex litigation dockets in Waterbury and Hartford.

Prior to law school Dan obtained a bachelor of arts in politics from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, his mother's home town. He received a presidential scholarship throughout his tenure at the school, and was a member of the college’s debate team, attending the national championships both years he competed.

Dan was born and spent his childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico, prior to moving to New England in 2005. Dan has made Connecticut his home since 2009. In his free time, he enjoys camping and running, and is also an amateur brewer.
