Please, please, please - don't do ANYTHING until you check with an attorney. I am in the midst of settling an aunt's estate, and have had a couple nasty tax and state surprises thrown at me. Just when I thought it was safe to disperse money to her heirs, I got a letter from the state telling me that I had to pay them nearly $54,000. And if the checks you wrote had your name on them as Power of Attorney, the bank tells me that you can't use them, and that they must say "Personal Representative" since when the person dies your POA expires then also. Here in Maine, I had to bring the papers from the court stating that I was selected as Executor/Personal Representative and a copy of the death certificate to the bank. However, I got there, and still couldn't take care of business - THEN they told me that I needed to get a taxpayer ID number from the IRS specifically for Personal Reps, which isn't a quick thing. So be really careful, and consult with an attorney, because as Executor, this whole thing can come back and bite YOU in the butt.

Basically, for both monetary and emotional purposes, the intro has been kept the same.
