I would like to just legallly change it. I've told my family how I feel, that I love them but that having a common full name and always being lost in the crowd makes me miserable. I told them, "Mom, Dad, I really LOVE you a lot... but I hate my name and want to change it to an ancestor's name."

Three letters of reference form professors wh that you have taken their class should be enough, Arecommendation for firnd who doesn't have college degree or any work experienced will probably be ignored. High school teachers or principal are good references. I asked three of my geology professors if they were willing to fill out reference letter forms. i had some resistance from one professor, but i had expected that from that particular professor He said siad yes he would That particular professor had become something grouch but there was very good reason for his becoming more grouchier than when I took hos class.

I got married recently and took my maiden name as my middle name and my husband's name as my surname. Ex: Helen Binti Carter becomes Helen Carter Denham. Pretty common I think.. . I went to the Social Security Office and painlessly had my name changed. My driver's license was also up for renewal, so I sent in a form to renew and change my name. Well, when I received my temporary card, my new name was listened as Helen Binti Denham. My middle name had not been changed.. . So now I have two names, and PennDOT claims they cannot change my middle name on my DL without a court order which can takes months and costs about $300++.
