. THANKS!!.

Where can I find an intellectual property lawyer who will answer a question for free?

There are several For Sale By Owner (FSBO) web sites that you can look up in selling your home yourself.

Generally, as was already stated, it should be similar to as if you got married and had to change your name, except you need a court order instead of a marriage license. The additional piece here though would be getting it changed on your birth certificate. Women who get married do not change their name on their birth certificate.. . I have the following 2 experiences that relate how we have done name changes:. . 1. When my husband and I got married, I had to get from the county clerk's office an official notorized copy of the marriage certificate, which I then took to the Social Security office to get my name changed on my social security card. As far as any creditors go, like credit cards, lender for my car loan, my bank, etc., I had to fax to them a copy of the notorized marriage certificate so they could change my name on my accounts. For my job, I had to show my new social security card once it arrived in the mail. For my driver's license, I had to show DMV the notorized marriage certificate. All this was free.. . 2. My husband actually legally changed his first name. He was NEVER called by his birth name, but by a nick name instead. As a result, throughout his life he had some things with his birth name, and some with his nick name. After the whole Sept. 11 thing, and also this being the age of identity theft, it became increasingly difficult for him to go around with 2 names. The name on his license did not match the name on his checks

you know I miss the drop of that letter in the post, something that you can take out time and time again, saving for ever really to treasure..........the new ways are good for somethings but it certainly has taken its toll on a few of the older [maybe better] ways IMO...................can you imagine a few years down the line finding an old cell phone and having that same leap of joy as you do when you come across a bundle of Love letters........ . regards
