I'm in the process of writing a cover letter in order to apply to be a Store Associate. I'm 17 and this will be my first job (if I can get it!). I've attached my CV so I feel like that does most of the talking, and I have next to no experience in the working industry. I've already handed in my CV in person, but they have advised that I also apply online, and it's there that the cover letter is being asked for. So what do I include in this letter, and how long should it be? Any other advice would be great. Thanks..

I recently married and now need to go through social security to change my name. I know that through the DMV my middle name will be replaced by my maiden name. BUT how does it work with your social security? Will I keep my middle name and only change my last name? Or do I write it in like it will show on my drivers license?. . For example: My "born given name" is Jane Sally Doe and my new married last name is Smith. So for my new SS card application, do I write in Jane Doe Smith or Jane Sally Smith?? haha. Only way I can be clear I guess. Thanks!.

The only way you would be able to have that truck again is if you hunt down the current owner and purchase it from them.. Paying the deficiency amount that is owed will do nothing to get you the truck back.. . The deficiency balance from a repo falls under the UCC and has a 4 year collecting SOL.. If the original creditor had failed to send "all" of the required notices then they "generally" have within 2 years in which to send them (per case law), though you should check your own states repo laws as far as how long they have to send the required notices.. . You still have (generally) one year to go for them to send you the notices and you have three years to go to be out of the collecting SOL.. . My opinion - and only my opinion - if they are not actively trying to collect and you "cannot" pay the deficiency, do not send anything yet. While you can be sued at any time, if they are not actively trying to collect at this time they "may" not even be considering suing at this time. Sending letters or disputing what is listed on your credit reports at this time "will" wake them up and make them active. (again, only my opinion and it is up to you to decide what actions you take). . If you can afford to pay the deficiency then you should ask for validation, similar to the letter that Bryan posted, before you even start talking to them about payment.. . Keep in mind that letter is a generic template and you "should" rework it to fit your state. . For example, not all states requre collectors to be licensed. If your state is one of those then you would be showing the collector that you are an uninformed consumer by requesting their license number.

The cover letter should be short, to the point and, above all, free of any errors! I'm sure you write well, but just as an example, your first sentence in this question is a run-on sentence (the comma should be a period). If you're not sure, have someone proof it.
