I would like to write a business letter and dont know how to format it?

I have summer reading for the book called the hunger games. they want us to write a letter to a friend by using business letter format. how do i write a business letter format? and do i use both my address and the persons real address that im writing it too? (it's not going to her, it's going to my english teacher)..

My mom had to go into a nursing home last year, dad sold his house a few months ago, medicaid took half. He?

A valid question!. . What I do is this..... . If I can fit it all on one screen, without the recipient having to scroll down, then always email. Indeed, all business correspondence should be concise and to the point.. . If the message requires much detail, say a pitch, proposal or a technical report, then that I attach. Yet not always as a wordprocessed file but preferably as a .pdf one. If, however, there may be a requirement for the recipient to expand on my document, then I instead do it in 'Word' format. And if there's a simple password I actually provide that to them in the email.. . To conclude, keep it concise, direct and modular.
