• Ignacio E. Arango is a member of the firm and was born in Havana, Cuba in 1957.? He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management in 1980 from the College of William and Mary, in Williamsburg, Virginia.? After college, Mr. Arango was a Corporate Loan Officer with a publicly-held savings bank having $900 million in assets, located in Fairfax, Virginia, where he was until 1986.? In 1989, Mr. Arango obtained his law degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.? He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1990.

  During the initial part of his legal career, Mr. Arango’s practice involved litigation and transaction matters.? In 2001, he shifted the focus of his primary practice to transactions representing clients in matters involving real estate secured loans, asset-based loans, commercial and residential real property transactions, including leases and purchases, purchases and sales of businesses and related interests, construction lien claims and title insurance matters.? Mr. Arango concentrates his practice in representing banks and institutional lenders in commercial real estate secured loans and asset-based loans.

  Mr. Arango is a member of the Coral Gables Bar Association and Cuban American Bar Association, and is a title insurance agent with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.? He has actively participated in a number of charitable organizations and held a leadership role in the Coral Gables Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors from 1993 to 2003.?? Mr. Arango is a frequent lecturer for Lorman Education Services in the area of Commercial Lending and Loan Transactions in Florida.? He has been involved for several years with the Florida Bar’s Scope Program as a mentor to young attorneys.? Since November, 2007, Mr. Arango has served as a Member of Grievance Committee “K”, serving the Eleventh Judicial Circuit on behalf of the Florida Bar Association.?
