Meanwhile, when you're not in class, you spend a couple hours on relatively unchallenging course assignments, followed by long nights of, say, killing time on facebook, eating pizza, watching pornography, and playing video games. You have ample free time to work a part-time job or pursue your own ventures utilizing your talents if you wish, but you are not motivated to do so.. . Fast-forward to ten years down the road:. . I'm making $700k per year off my business that I started while you were playing X-Box. I work a minimum of seventy hours per week, providing goods and services that people want or need, and employing a hundred or so people who can support their families as a result of the value my hard work has created. I donate twenty percent of my income annually to various charities in order to help the sick, disabled, and children of poor families. I lead my family to volunteer for various community service projects throughout the year. In what little free time I have, I spend time with my family doing the things we love to do: shooting, hunting, and fishing.. . At the same time, you are working a dead-end job that pays you $38k per year because there are a million other people in the workforce with your qualifications, education, skill set, and work ethic. There is absolutely no demand for your skills in the private sector, so the federal, state, or county government pays you for your "services" at the expense of the taxpayer. You show up at work for a solid forty hours per week, perform perhaps sixteen hours of actual work, collect your check, and never give a thought to how you might improve the efficacy of your department's actions. During your ample free time, you do the same types things that earned you that C average in college: playing video games, smoking weed, and watching Comedy Central.. . Please explain to me exactly WHY I owe you any of what I've worked hard to earn. Why should you be permitted to use the police power of government to seize a higher percentage of my income than is required from you? WHY should I be forced to payoff your student loans FOR YOU, and provide your health care FOR YOU? Aside from my duty to not interfere with your life, liberty, or pursuit of whatever the hell it is that makes you happy, WHY do you think I OWE you anything at all?. Feel free to extrapolate out to large groups of people, specifically voting blocs and the like.. Also, before running your mouth about the rich paying lower tax rates than the middle class, please take the time to educate yourself on capital gains tax rates, marginal income tax rates, and scenarios by which someone with an extremely high income could end up paying a lower effective rate than someone with an average income. Then, consider whether or not this really constitutes being a tax cheat.. Feel free to add military service in there wherever you like. The logical conclusion, though you dislike it, won't change.. Oh, and I WANT to pay taxes because I believe it is my duty. I'm happy to pay for the necessary functions of government. Try another argument, genius..

Here is how to write a great sales letter.. . 1) Write directly to your target audience. Study their demographics, needs, and the style of communication that most appeals to them before you start your letter. Write directly to this audience, keeping their desires foremost in your mind as you compose the letter. Make sure your letter is about them and not about you. Avoid writing a mass letter that could be sent to anyone. Make your letter more readable by keeping it personal and targeted to your researched market.. . 2) Focus on the benefit to the reader. Write the letter in such a way that it focuses on the benefits of your product or service rather than the features. For example, instead of saying that your bed sheets have a 100-count weave, say that they're soft and durable and will soothe the buyer into a gentle night's sleep.. . 3) Begin with an attention-grabbing headline. Write a headline that will entice the reader to delve into the body of the letter. Use action verbs and descriptive nouns, and immediately describe why this letter is important to your reader. Keep it short and make it interesting. Center it on the page and put it in bold text. Make the type larger than the rest of the body of the letter.. . 4) Explain why you have the solution to the reader's problem. People don't buy products or services, they buy solutions. They don't buy a meal at a restaurant

Let's say you get hit by your father because you got caught sneaking out of the house. This is external. But, the next weekend you think about sneaking out again and then decide not to because you do not want your father to be upset and hit you again. This is internal. You are controlling yourself but its usually based on a potential external power.
