Mental Template?. . Paranoid Schizophrenia.. . A lot of what you write is very similar to what I hear from the patients in the Psych Ward that I work in.

A really basic site like this won't sell for very much because there are a lot of free or really inexpensive services online that people can use to do this for themselves. The buyer still has to pay hosting and domain fees on top of what they pay you. Your best angle would be to market yourself as a designer, meaning your visual sensibilities and understanding of usability and such are preferable to that of a non-designer. I can't tell you how much you should ask for the site you already made because I don't know the going rate in your area, how big or nice the site is, or how close you are with your friend.. . I know people who prefer to develop in Notepad, though I prefer to use a WYSIWYG HTML editor. It's really just a matter or personal preference. Just remember to run your copy through Word or something to make sure you don't have any typos.

It is a difficult process. You will likely need to freelance for a while, before anyone will consider hiring you as an employee (locally in Russia). Foreign companies rarely hire translators directly. As a freelancer, you will work for little money at first, and you will have to prove yourself.. . First you need to do your market research, and find out what others in your field charge for such translations. As a point of reference, translators living in Russia will usually get 1 to 2 US cents per source word for work, until they develop a good reputation and client base. You will eventually make more, if you are good.. . Then you need to make a CV to show your education and experience (if any) in translating. Make sure it gives people a reason to trust your skills. When you apply for translation jobs, you will be asked to show your "portfolio", which is simply samples of the things you have translated, in each language pair you want to work in (ie: English to Russian, and Russian to English).

Google CV samples in pdf formats and you will get as many as want. It helped me. and I hope it will help you
