How to start a small business?

Ok, I've made up my mind to petition the court for a name change. I've researched the procedures for the state where I live (NC). . I've been miserable with my last name all my life, for a number of reasons. I want to take my grandmother's (or great-grandfather's) surname because no one believes me when I tell them I have Spanish blood (my grandmother's side came from Spain). Also, my legal last name is very ugly and I have always wanted a beautiful last name.. . Here is my problem. I know that when I change my name, I am going to have to change ALL my documents- driver's licence, passport, bank account, etc.. . I'm going abroad at the end of April and I'll need my passport. Do I have enough time to get my name change before my trip???. Do I have to get my passport changed before I go abroad?? I don't want to ruin my trip but I REALLY want to get my name changed because I HATE it!. . :).

With the job market so competitive right now, I don't think it could hurt to send a cover letter. I assume that they didn't expressly forbid it, or limit you to a certain amount of text. Do a little research on the company and incorporate some of the information into the letter, such as how your skills or experience particularly relate to what they do. I doubt that they're really thinking about expecting or not expecting cover letters, and you won't seem pushy.
