It will be interesting to see. My guess is that they will not do a very good just and/or present irrelevant arguments. There are three legal reasons for not changing the definition of marriage to include persons of the same sex marrying:. . 1.. Marriage was instituted by society in times of prehistory for the purpose of the orderly regulation of procreation. In principle, two persons of the same sex are not able to procreate. Therefore, they cannot qualify to enter into a union which society has established for the purpose of the orderly regulation of procreation. Two persons of the opposite sex which, for any number of reasons are unable to procreate, do not effect society's ability to regulate procreation because in principle, human members of the opposite sex are able to procreate. Including unions within the definition of marriage which are in principle unable to procreate fundamentally transforms the understanding of marriage and requires that society define it by any persons arbitrary whim. Society's ability to provide for the orderly regulation of procreation will be hindered and society itself will suffer.. . 2. Current marriage law is not discriminatory. Any male can marry any other female. Any female can marry any other male. No male may marry any male. No female may marry any female. So a male that chooses to have sex with females may not marry a male. A male that chooses to have sex with males may not marry a male. A male that chooses to have sex with females may marry a female. A male that chooses to have sex with males may marry a female. The law is evenly applied to all persons, so no remedies for discrimination need to be enacted. No discrimination is taking place. Sexual practice is a behavior and does not warrant a special protected class. Granting special rights to people due to their behavior has no basis or precedent in law.. . 3. The purpose of the proponents for legalizing same-sex unions as marriage is to obtain society's affirmation and validation of those unions. By having same-sex unions legally regarded as "marriage" on par with society's current and historical understanding of the institution, persons who choose to engage in sex with persons of the same sex will force all of society to grant equal validation to this union as to opposite sex unions. Many members in society do not wish to grant this status and forcing them to do so is imposing personal morality through the judicial system. The courts system was set up to decide legal matters, not enforce the personal morality of a few in society on society as a whole. Therefore, establishing same-sex unions as "marriage" is not within the purview or scope of the court. On top of that, it is wrong to impose morality on others.. . I know these arguments are probably different than most people here will hold. But they are the correct legal arguments and just a few of the reasons "same-sex marriage" should not be instituted. Instead of being open-minded and considering other points of view, most people here will just call names, or thumbs-down and not even read this answer. In any event, no one can offer a reasoned or valid refutation of the points I have made here. Its sad how narrow-minded and morally superior the people in this nation have become.

You can change your name to whatever you want but as far as the fee, it will depend on your individual county's courts that you plan to file your paper work through. If these are credit card charges you are talking about, then yes they are legal.. . The OFT made a ruling last year, and set the cap on the charges at ?12. Anything above this charge from the past 6 years can be claimed back, but charges of ?12 and below can't be. The credit card companies have now all set their charges to ?12, which is the maximum they can take.. .
