I am a live-in caregiver for a wealthy 87 year old, who I have been with for almost four years now. I have a bachelors degree and office experience and for the last year I have been going back and forth as to whether I want to continue working for this man. He wants someone with him pretty much 24/7.. . He has offered to set up a trust for me if I will stay with him. I would like to know if there are trusts that can start depositing money right away. For example, every year that I stay with him, a part of the trust is automatically given to me. I would want some arrangement made that if for some reason I were to leave before he passes away, I would still receive a portion of that trust.. . What would that kind of arrangement be called? My reason for this is that for every year that I stay in this situation, my earning power is decreasing. I don't want to go into the specifics, but this kind of arrangement I believe would be fair.. In response to the one responder, you are wrong! This is not greed. This man is very very wealthy and has taken my entire life. My own elderly mother has no caregiver and I have been supporting her as well. It is my bosses desire to not have to hire another caregiver. He is urging me not to leave him..
