An Avon representative in the neighborhood (she lives 2 blocks away) gave me a couple of her brouchours. I took them to work to look through during my breaks. Some co-workers saw me reading one and went crazy. As a favor to both the representative and my co-workers I offered to pass on any orders they would like to make. Same thing happened with some neighbors. Anyway, after 3 days I had passed on several hundred dollars worth of orders with more coming. This has got me thinking about selling Avon myself.. . However, I have a few questions first.. . 1. Does Avon award exclusive areas? Would having my neigbor being a representative exclude me from the program in this area? I really don't want to get stuck running to the far side of the county selling in an area I'm not familiar with.. . 2. I know Avon offers a website to their representatives. Do they also offer online promotional tools like banners, buttons, etc.?. 3. In a fairly small town, what would be a reasonable estimate of how much it would cost me per month (in promotional materials, samples, etc.) to set up a truly effective venture?. . 4. Will Avon accept international orders through the representative's websites?. . 5. For present or past Avon representatives, what problems have you experienced in dealing with Avon? And, were they easily resolved?. . 6. Again, for present or past Avon representatives, what are the best and worst aspects of selling for Avon?. While I appreciate the advice, I'm really not looking for suggestions or information on other programs..
