I want to deed poll my first name as I'm getting mixed up with another family member... We even have the same birthday different year but that's it.... . I am unsure how I would go about this, can I just go along to my local registrar office or can I get it done quicker..... . I think there maybe an office in goole that do an hour service but I'm not sure and would like to know if I need anything else like birth certificate.... . Thanks for any advice.... Turns out that the UK deed poll service is a private company...No checks done... If U want an official Deed poll U have to got to the HMcourts in London.. Have to have a solicitor certify UR curant documents and need to have a witness who has know U longer than 10 years... cost approx ?66 plus solicitor fee of around ?100.... Guess too many people were changing their name illegally or doing it too often so they changed how U do it as it was once as simple as going to UR local Registrar office....

Im currently doing my annual enrollment and a new thing they are offering this year is a Legal Services insurance plan. Its $15 dollars a month and offers the services of attorneys for many different things, but the one I am mainly interested in is for Real estate matters. Im thinking about buying my first house this year and I was curious if having my own attorney (paid for by this insurance offering of course) would save me money in closing costs at all. Im not familiar how closings work, so I didn't know.
