• For more than twenty-five years, Arlin P. Neser has provided individualized advice to clients regarding probate, estate planning and the administration of trusts and estates. His practice has focused on family wealth transfers and closely-held business planning, including consideration of gift, estate, generation-skipping and other transfer taxes. He has considerable experience in preparing wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, including special needs, insurance and charitable trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance health care directives. He also advises clients regarding the advantages of lifetime giving and the appropriate disposition of retirement plan benefits. Mr. Neser also has expertise in the procedures necessary to establish and maintain guardianships and conservatorships. He also assists clients in the establishment and maintenance of private foundations, public charities and other tax-exempt organizations. Mr. Neser has presented seminars on estate planning and probate for such organizations as the National Business Institute, the Southern California Tax & Estate Planning Forum, the Utah State Bar and the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Neser has also published articles about estate planning and probate in such publications as the California State Bar's California Trusts and Estates Quarterly. He is a member of the California State Bar's Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section, and the Orange County Bar's Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Section.

  Many of Mr. Neser's current clients are small to medium-sized businesses and their owners. Consequently, in addition to estate planning, much of Mr. Neser's practice includes working with clients on the day-to-day legal issues involved with running a business. Much of this work includes forming companies and preparing contracts, agreements and other related documents. He also consults with clients about asset protection. In addition to his work in business matters, Mr. Neser has also represented individuals and businesses in various tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and before the various California taxing authorities, including cases before the United States Tax Court.

  Mr. Neser has written extensively in the areas of legal technology and on-line services for attorneys for such legal technology publications as Law Office Computing, Legal Assistant Today, The Internet Lawyer and the ABA's Technology and Practice Guide. He is also the author of "Law Office Guide To On-Line Courts" published by James Publishing. Mr. Neser has lectured on the subject of legal technology before such organizations as the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Utah Bar, the Orange County Legal Secretaries Association and the Institute for Paralegal Education.

  Arlin P. Neser graduated with Honors from Brigham Young University earning a B.A. degree. Then in Mr. Neser received a J.D. degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and an M.B.A. degree from the Marriott School of Management, both at Brigham Young University.
