Is it okay to talk about my non-professional interests in my cover letter?

I signed with my married name immediately (marriage certificate was the first document!). Most businesses these days don't care when it comes to last names (I kept my driver's license with my old last name for years before changing it to my married last name...too lazy to get a new license). The only time you'll encounter any issues with names is if you fly or take a train since they do heavy security checks.

mothers birth cert shows spelling of her name differant to what its now i have to send copy of my birth cert this shows orginal spelling of her name but her passport is showing new spelling how can i prove this is the same person she has went thru life spelling her name with first letter a& it should have been e help please. it is her first name that is spelt differant it is spelt eileen &she has used the name aileen she has had passport in that name also driving licence.

. Reasons why you want the job do not need to be in the cover letter or even in the resume. The fact that you live close does not even need to come up as they will not care. Maybe bring it up in the inter view but again they will not care.

I recently got a job with a top "fortune 500" company in the health insurance industry. I actually got lucky to get an entry level position with this company that is laying of hundreds. II feel I am underpaid doing cold calls and mailers. I honestly do not like the job I am in but I was wondering if it is worth it for me to hang in there and try to advance in this industry.. . Do insurance agents with big corporations make good money? If you have any experience in this area, I would appreciate an honest answer..
