• Michelle was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale on a field hockey scholarship.?She was a University Scholar and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors in 1980. Michelle attended Washington University School of Law and obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in 1983.?She was also honored as a member of The Order of the Barristers.?Michelle served as an Assistant State's Attorney in the McHenry County State's Attorney's office from 1984 until 1993.
