• Douglas G. Thomas is the managing partner at Duffy, North, Wilson, Thomas & Nicholson, LLP. Doug is an experienced attorney with almost four decades experience practicing law and has an extensive background in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Wills, Banking, Financial Institutions, Corporate Law and Real Estate. Doug is the Solicitor for Hatboro Federal Savings, having served in that role since 1984. In that role, Doug serves as Counsel to the Board of Directors regarding both regulatory and operational matters.

  He has had the pleasure of representing many businesses, individuals and families over the course of his almost forty year career.

  EDUCATION AND MILITARY SERVICE

  After attending the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Doug graduated from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Doug received his law degree from Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after serving in the U.S. Army with the 2d Infantry Division in Korea, and at the Pentagon.

  VOLUNTEER AND COMMUNITY WORK

  Doug is an avid presence in the communities where he lives and works. He is a member of Rotary International, Hatboro Branch. For 18 years he was a member of the Warrington Township Planning Commission, and Chairman for fifteen years.

  PERSONAL

  Doug was raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and he and his lovely wife, Suzzanne, continue to reside in Warrington. They are the proud parents of three amazing daughters and five grandchildren. When they are not traveling, you'll find them re-enacting the Civil War as members of the 69th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, a Pa. non-profit corporation and 501(c)3 organization which raises funds to procure and set grave stones for unmarked graves of American soldiers.

• The firm currently known as Duffy, North, Wilson, Thomas & Nicholson, LLP ("Duffy North") was established in 1928 and previously known as Duffy, McTighe & McElhone and Duffy, North, Duffy & Wilson. The firm's origins go back to Edward B. Duffy, Esquire who was admitted to the Montgomery County Bar in 1927. In 1960, the office located at 104 North York Road was purchased, the existing structure was renovated and the firm moved from its original location at 110 South York Road.
