Whether this makes sense depends on the type of benefits you are receiving. If you are receiving Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare, then the inheritance does not affect your eligibility for those benefits. If you are receiving Supplemental Security Income ("SSI") or Medicaid, then the inheritance may reduce or disqualify you from receiving those benefits. In addition, there may be other benefits you are receiving (such as housing assistance or utility assistance) that may or may not be affected by the inheritance.. . Assuming that you are on SSI, your attorney's plan could still reduce your SSI since cash from any source of ANY amount may reduce your SSI benefit. It is also possible other government benefits may be affected even if you are only receiving $500 a month ($6,000 a year).. . You should ask your attorney if he or she is familiar with government benefits for disabled people. If your attorney is not, then you probably should consult with an attorney familiar with government benefits. Usually, this will be a disability, Medicaid or elder care attorney.. . If the inheritance is going to reduce your benefits, then you could explore creating a Supplemental Needs Trust (also called a Special Needs Trust). The rules for this type of Trust may vary from state-to-state and the regulations and requirements are complex. I am only familiar with the laws in NJ so any information I provided is general in nature and not a substitute for legal advice.

You never told which online class. Some are just scams. Some are outstanding, but the fantastic ones cost $1000. Why not research how to write novels. There are plenty of sites online that give short teachings, but I like books better.. . Also, there are sites where writers can critique each other, but that's something you probably don't want to try, until you learn what makes novels publishable today. My mom buys books from the shop at Writer's Digest. (She's the author in the family. My Dad writes research articles for a specific field, so he's an author too, but he doesn't do fiction.) I started reading my mom's books and now I'm working on my first novel.. . Added after I posted:. Oops. I should read answers before I answer. Yeah, the other answerer gave the link to the Writer's Digest book store. That's the place I was talking about. LOL

Could someone help me write a petition letter?

yeah, city council is good. with pictures and also maybe a petition. Start out your letter by introducing yourself as a resident of this place, then state your problem. Illustrate it with examples and pictures. Then propose a solution. make copies for later (you may want to distribute it with the petition to your neighbors) and attach the pictures of the problem. make sure your pictures show the crowded street, and also pictures of the front of your dwelling to show there is clearly no alternative parking.

I've been doing this for years

My dad is in a nursing home after havin 3 strokes and my bro won't do anything and said he didn't wanna make any decisions. I won't him moved to a different home and how do I need to go about with a power of attorney on him.. I was talking about a regular one. He is conscious but he is in and out of knowing what is going on as he believes he's at home some times,no sense of time and says he has to go to work even though he's been retired for a year. In this case what's the best thing to do..
