• A. Mina Tran immigrated to the United States as a refugee with her family in 1975 as a young girl.? She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Boston College in 1991 and received her law degree from UCLA School of Law in 1996.? I need to do two things: 1) Change my name, and 2) Update my address.. . I would like to keep my Californian residency, but I *do* need to update the address currently on my card to another address, both still in CA. [My mother's address will be my permanent address until we get out of the military.] Now, my concern here is that needing to update both my name and my address may require me to be in-person in California to apply for the new card, because I know it is common to have to have your picture retaken when there is a name change. I can't even afford to go to California for the holidays, much less just to get a new DL, lol.
