Like I am pre-op male-to-female transsexual and well I work as an Events Safety Steward for G4S and hopefully soon as a security steward and well work in places all over the country at various different venues so I forever have different Supervisors, some I have never met before.. . Anyway I was working up in Scotland on Wednesday, stewarding that Robbie Williams concert and the Supervisor there was getting our names and when I told him my name is Lily cos I have changed it by UK Deed Poll, he went "That is a strange name for a bloke. I once knew a bloke call Lily Anne actually" and I just went "Well the reason my name is Lily is cos I'm going through gender reassignment" and then he just joked "The first cut is always the deepest".. . He was only saying it as a joke and I imagine it has something to do with the penis being inverted but I just don't get the joke, what does he mean "The first cut is always the deepest"?. Some of the other stewards must have understood the joke cos they laughed at it but I just didn't get it. I'm not easily offended though, I can take a joke, I have had loads of jokes about that surgery, once my best mate in high school said "I'll do the surgery for you, just get me a knife and a drill" and I was just like "WTF is the drill for" XD I can take jokes I just didn't get this one is all..

I always take a shower and make myself presentable prior to retrieving and returning job applications. I always return the application on the same or next day. Some places I have applied at multiple times and I have applied at over 15 places total and haven't gotten a single call back. EVERY SINGLE friend I have including siblings has applied at no more than 3 places and gotten a job within 2 weeks. It's ridiculous. I'm running out of opportunities.... . Ideally, I walk in to the place, ask for an application (please), say thank you, then leave. I come back later and say I need to hand this in, and proceed to hand it to the person operating the counter (which occasionally is the manager), say thanks again, and leave. I am always polite and presentable and I've even applied at places that said they were hiring and yet if I have a friend that already works at that place, he'll tell me that they've been hiring a bunch of other people instead of me. This is getting extremely agitating. Can someone help or offer any input?.
