  • Our Philosophy and History

In 1980, Jack J. Fine founded the firm, which is now known as Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. Our firm is a medium sized plaintiff's law firm providing individualized service to people injured by the negligence of others. We believe our smaller size ensures our clients will receive personal care. We have focused our practice on civil litigation representing injured folks. We strive to offer the best representation within that area of the law.

Our attorneys' profiles are contained on separate pages of this website. Please look them over and feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have regarding our qualifications. We are proud of our attorneys and staff. The attorneys are caring and understanding at a time when you need the most critical help you may ever require in your life.

Our firm includes four lawyers, three legal assistants, two supporting assistants, six to eight legal clerks and administrative personnel and investigators. All of our lawyers have considerable courtroom experience. We don't have to retain separate litigation attorneys. We have up to date litigation support equipment that includes legal research tools through Westlaw online. Being in Gainesville, Florida we have easy access to the University of Florida Levin College of Law, should your case present a particularly obscure legal issue.

Our support staff is just that: a support staff. There is no bureaucracy in our firm. The lawyers in the firm personally handle all the cases in the office. Although we provide individualized hands-on representation, we nonetheless work with attorneys and clients throughout the state. We never represent insurance companies ? only injured people and their families. We often must sue insurance companies and want to avoid any possible conflict of interest.

A personal visit either in our Gainesville law offices, or at a location more convenient to you, can be arranged at no cost to you. Please call or email us with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

you're sending a "letter of interest". normally, a resume is required. if you're infinitely qualified (you probably are not or you would not be asking this question) you just send your resume along with salary requirements.. a resume has ONLY one function. that is to reject people!! so, a letter of interest is a good way to apply if you're not really qualified for the position.. now, having said that it should contain these points:. 1. the position your interested in. 2. the reason you think (NEVER say feel always think- feel means emotion think means thought) you are not only qualified for this postition, but would excel.. 3. do your research before your letter-know as much about the company as you can find out (this could include internet searches and the library). you may not get to first base, but if you do you need to show you have done your homework-if you did this much work just to apply then what would you do if you actually worked for them.. 4. follow up with a phone call-or really better-show up in person and ask for the person your letter is addressed to (yeah-you need to have found out who would do the interview (depending on the size of the company-you will go through anywhere from one to four interviews) I even applied for a job once where they required a hand written one page letter explaining the reason they should choose me-in addition to my resume-they sent the handwritten pages to hand writing analysis, but that was an international company, and they are sorta weird by our standards.

I'm a high school student, I just finished writing a book and want to get it published, but I'm not really sure where to start..

I am looking for some help with this topic?.

When using form 8829 (Expenses for business use of home), line 34 says to report value on 1040 Form C line 30. However, 1040 Form C is only for sole proprietorships. Where does that value get reported (which form) if my biz is a multimember LLC? If the answer is form 1065, won't the other partners get partial credit for my home office deduction?. . Thanks in advance!.

How to legally change your name in Virginia?

I need to start applying for colleges soon, so, I need recommendation letters... . But how exactly do I do that? I mean, do I type up a blank template and have teachers fill it up?. Or do they have to type it themselves? I have no idea how to go about doing this.. Any answers appreciated^^.
