Everyone can be a model.. . Look like one, dress like one, walk like one.. . Check out America's Next Top Model, so you can understand what goes on behind the modeling business. They own you top to bottom. Meaning, no if's, and's or but's. It's a very demanding career, and if you can handle stress and ready to give them 120% then you're IN.. . There were 10,000 hopeful models for Victoria's Secret in Dec. fashion show also. Out of those, 5 were chosen as finalists, and only one was chosen as the winner. Check it out. It's not just a pretty face. It takes a certain walk, attitude, confidence & can stand the stress.. . Some models are discovered coming home from a holiday with their family, eating in restaurants, or walking in the mall somewhere USA.. . Models are people hand-selected who are already models for the fashion industry. They model for anything and their jobs are extended, elsewhere. Example right now: Adriana Lima models for Victoria Secret, and is in the beauty, fashion & hair, and also now have speaking parts. So she's well known for other modeling assignments. Her portfolio is growing all the time, because she's a million-dollar supermodel.. . If you're a MODEL, you accept all assignments, you just can't be picky. You take what's given, whoever hires you. No one can just be a hair model, or bikini model. If you're being choosy, you become unemployed really fast. No ONE would want to hire someone who is picky.

Ok so I really want to work in some way on the production team for this great movie that's been announced, but I have no previous experience and am just finishing high school. I'd be happy with just a crappy role like gopher or just being an assistant or whatever, I just really want in! I'm a pretty high achiever with heaps of awards for academic and cultural things, I'm really organised and I have a real interest in film but I haven't been able to pursue this as I go to a small school that doesn't offer any classes etc. Do you think that if I wrote a letter to someone at the production company talking about how much I'd love to work for them, even just in a menial role, and telling them about what I'm good at they might consider me?
