I cant imagine a country like China or Russia (or many others) giving us a fair chance if our fate was somehow in their hands.. . So some bullet points for your negatives.... . - Loss of sovereign power. - Decisions left in hands of possible enemies. - Possible corruption beyond our scope of control. - Possible conflict with US Law and/or constitution. Habeus Corpus? Right to attorney? Miranda rights? They may not transfer.. - Inability to monitor or oversee the court. - Differing cultural views on law... Libel/Slander is a big one (and relatively harmless compared to violent crime, so makes a good example). For instance: In France a celebrity can sue a magazine if they place an unauthorized picture in their spread or say something "mean". That'd never fly in the US... unless a lie or intentional false defamation can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. The situation is even worse in other countries with MANY laws we take for granted here. Slavic and asian countries in particular.. -National security... again, due to the loss of sovereignity. Do we want them trying our soldiers? Our citizens? Will it hamper our ability to defend ourselves?. -Financial. Who pays for this darn thing? Seems we always foot the bill.. .
