• Bob was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is a native Floridian, who attended both undergraduate school and law school in South Florida. He has had his own private practice in Broward County since 1984 and has been practicing Marital and Family law since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980. Mr. Sidweber is Florida Bar Board Certified in Marital and Family Law and has been since 1995, having met all of the requirements of the Florida Bar to be called an expert and specialist. I have been spelling my first name two different ways since I could write, and I finally figured out why. The name on my birth certificate has an extra letter than the name on my social security card. I only know now because I just got a job and they required a copy of my social security card. My parents held my birth certificate and security card in fear that I would get an ID and do bad things, I guess. (I turn 21 in a couple of days.) I don't know if this is a huge problem, but if it will mess me up in the long run, I need to know, is it absolutely imperative that I get this fixed? Will it affect anything with my job? I noticed that when they send me letters in the mail for benefits, they use the name on my social security card. . Also, I want to go by the spelling that is on my birth certificate, and not the name with the missing letter on my social security card. That's the name I go by. I figured since my schools never called me on it, and at school our social is your student ID, that it wasn't a problem..
