Letter-writing can be easy if you use the three basic parts: Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. The tone of this business letter is semi-formal and the length shouldn't be too very long, as business folks do not have a lot of time to read.. . The intro should begin by thanking the client for their business and how much it's a pleasure to be of service. You should then inform them that (1.) there are upcoming changes (2.) the service they've grown to expect will continue to be the same high standard. In other words - some things will be different, while the company is still reliable.. . The body will outline and briefly explain the new AE assignments. Don't go overboard on details- this is a common business event. If the AE is going to be contacting the client in the next few weeks, let the client know that. Stick to generalities whenever possible and only give the most vital details or that info will get lost to the busy reader.. . The close should again thank and reassure the client and show confidence that this change will be a smooth transition. Also be sure to include contact information (website and/or phone number).. . Hope this helps.
