• I was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on July 26, 1949, and attended the overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, and graduated from there in 1968. I served as class president for many years, student counsel president, was the captain of the wrestling team and a member of the track team. I also studied music extensively.I attended Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where I received a Bacheler of science degree in psychology, authored an Honors paper and graduated sixth in rank from my entire graduating class.Beginning in the fall of 1972, I attended the Temple University School of Law, and graduated 1978. I worked as a Bucks County Public Defender beginning in the spring of 1979. On May 24, 1980, I married my current wife, Kimli Ann day. We have two children, Analyse Fioravanti, (age 31) and John J. Fioravanti, III, (29). My son is now married, serving as my legal assistant. My daughter has a degree from Drexel University as a nurse and is employed in the pharmaceutical area. As a public defender I operated the juvenile court division for some time and tried many criminal cases, with and without juries. My expertise in the criminal field moved to death penalty litigation in 1982. In 1986, I was appointed as the deputy public defender, in charged of hiring new lawyers, trial training and trial assignments. In 1989, I began a private law firm partnership with David H. Knight. We handled criminal defense, juvenile law, family law, federal criminal law, appellate litigation in state and federal courts, estates and civil litigation. I was appointed to the Bucks County Court appointed list and continue to serve in that capacity and am also a court appointed member for Pennsylvania Federal cases. In 1993, I ran as the democratic candidate for Bucks County District Attorney and was defeated in the November election. In June of 2013, I became a sole practitioner, and focus in the state and federal criminal areas, although I do a fair amount of juvenile law, some personal injury, civil and estate work along with some child custody.???? Throughout the years, I have served on the Board of Directors for the Community Commitment Corporation, an agency treating juveniles in the community and have also served on the Board of Directors for Reaching at Problems, a home for abused young females????
