    I have been renting properties with many different agencies over the years so have experience but today on accepting a property which I am going to be moving into in October, I was shocked to be told at the very last minute after handing them about 1 and a half thousand pounds for rent and a deposit etc, that I have to pay them another ?20 a month for insurance, which I have never paid with any agency in my life. Also for every year I am there, I have to pay them an extra ?40 plus VAT, which they called an anniversary fee. I have never heard of, or had to pay this ever before either. When I queried the insurance, they said it was compulsory but I was just thinking - what if I already had my own home insurance and why , if it's compulsory have I never had to pay it with other very well known agencies? Also, surely, the longer I am there the better it would be for them, so why are they think they can charge me extra for this is beyond me. Are they just making there own rules up as they go along and has anybody else ever been charged like this?. Many thanks..

I won't be phased out. In fact, they are giving me extra work (I get paid by productivity) so I can earn extra cash for my move..

    The lien release does not have to be signed. You are making a mountain out of a molehill. Sign the tile in the seller space, leave the title with Mom. Mom can give the lien release to the buyer along with the title when the sale is made.
