  • Wilson, Updike & Nicely is truly a "small" firm with a "big" practice, and we routinely represent clients in cases all over Virginia and beyond. Our firm, a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated firm, traces its history back over 80 years in Southwestern Virginia, and we have concentrated our practice on the representation of injury victims for decades.

If you have been injured, you have probably just begun to realize the many complexities of the claims process. Instead of focusing on medical treatment and recovery, most personal injury victims find themselves focused on insurance issues, claims procedures and layers of paper work. At Wilson, Updike & Nicely, we understand and recognize the complications of a personal injury case. We know that navigating a modern personal injury case requires an intimate knowledge of insurance and the coordination of insurance benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, automobile medical expense payment coverage, uninsured and underinsured insurance, property damage coverage, workers compensation, disability, ERISA and others. We strive to help each client navigate through his or her individual set of facts and circumstances for the most complete resolution possible.

At Wilson, Updike & Nicely, we utilize a true "team effort", with all of our attorneys working on every significant case from beginning to end. Working together, we are able to utilize each of our strengths in every case to maximize your recovery. Our firm routinely takes on some of the biggest defense firms in Virginia, and we commit to work as hard for each of our clients as we would for ourselves, treating each client with the dignity and respect he or she deserves.

If we take your case, we will commit to help you through all aspects of the process until your case is resolved. Moreover, unlike some firms who advertise themselves as "trial" lawyers, our firm has been trying cases for decades. While we are successful in settling the majority of our cases out-of-court, rest assured that we will not hesitate to take any case, big or small, to trial. As you can see under our "Verdicts and Settlements", we have a history of success both in court verdicts and in out-of-court settlements. We routinely handle cases throughout Virginia and have also been involved in numerous cases arising in other states and jurisdictions.

Deed poll name changes? No, many are not even registered centrally if it is done via a solicitor the solicitor could have the document still in their own office................... also as it is personal data and living people there are laws which stop private records being viewed by the public............ . If someone changes their surname, eg parents change a 4 yr old child's surname, then the 'new' birth cert with the new name is the only birth cert that you could get copy of as the original one is sealed. The only way in the future that anyone would know of a name change is if prior to the name change the child was baptised, so the name would be in the PRs, if there was a census taken prior, so it would show the original name............. with a 100 year rule of census it isn't something you would be waiting to view, it could only be used for someone pre 1911............................

So I'm 17 right now, in my senior year of high school. I have an idea for a 'business' where basically I would be a food delivery service. High, drunk, disabled, or lazy people, or people who don't have means of transportation, would call and tell me what they want and, if necessary, where to get it. I would take my motorcycle (easier to get around, uses much less gas) and retrieve the food (keeping the receipt). They would pay based on the price of the food, how far I traveled (just to cover gas money), and how long it took me. I'm thinking of maybe having a set labor fee below 30 mins, but after that the longer it takes the more you pay (assuming it's because I had to do a lot of running around. People will not be charged for time because of traffic or my own fault). At first I wasn't considering making this an official thing but I don't want to get a huge fine for running an illegal business. So, how would I go about making it an official business? Should I just do it unofficially? I would be 18 by the time any of this would happen.. . Thanks for any answers or suggestions. Forgot to mention, one of the reasons I considered making it official is because I could use a phone to charge credit..

I'm looking to market myself better online and I was wondering if anyone out there had an opinion on how I should go about making/getting my own website. I do not know how to make a website and I want it to look professional so I'm planning on buying one but I don't know who to use... any opinions?.

Actually, the answer is B. you did the letters right, but 5' and 3' ends always alternate so this template changed to DNA form is 3'-ccaatgtaag-5'. you then turn it around if it asks for it to be read 5' to 3' (look and you'll see that b is just c turned around so the 5'/3' directions are right)
