I was just wondering why it is common practice to use random sampling for the basis of scientific experiments, because it seems to me that it could lead to false results. An example would be to take a random sample of a population that is 65% male and 35% female. Your random sample includes 60% female and 40% male. That sample group isn't representative of the population so anything that you try to infer upon would be false wouldn't it? It seems like you could take a random representative sample that would be closer to the actually population. Such as insuring that your sample consists of of 65% men and 35% women, and then choose those men and women random from the population. This doesn't seem like it would cause any bias to me because you are just studying a more precise representation of the actual population. So why aren't samples chosen this way?.

Believe me, if women were being screwed financially in marriage and divorce at the rate of men- feminists would've already been on the case towards modifying marriage contracts.
