Breaking a lease because I have no money?

A famous example of this would be

Since the assets are in a revocable trust they are part of the estate of the owner. A revocable trust is exempt from probate and therefore court supervision. Since the assets are part of the estate they would be subject to estate and/or inheritance taxes at a rate that depends on the law in the year of death. For 2010 there is no federal or CA estate tax.

Modelling agency release form (Photographers)?

My girlfriends brother had Medical & Financial Power of Attorney over their elderly sister. After the sister died the family learned that the brother had her change her savings accounts and life insurance policys to show him as the beneficiary in less than a year before she died. She did have a disagnosis of dementia in her medical record before she died. Originally the beneficiaries were the surviving underage children for their college fund. The adult family members don't need the money, they are just hurt because they believe that he took advantage of her weakness and took the money from the children. Isn't it bad to have the Medical power of attorney also have financial power also. I thought financial power was only to do things like carry on financial responsibilites like paying bills while the person is incapacitated? Please comment, this family is hurting.. This is so unfortunate. From everything I hear, the brother is a coldblooded hoodlum scammer wolf in sheeps clothing type anyway. No one knows when the power of attorney stuff was set up, i told her that they need to investgate whether or not the POA documents are legitimate or fraudulent.. OH yeah, this artist was the executor of the estate as well...... Thanks LUCY...good answer, however, mysteriously several documents surfaced while thy were cleaning out the home to prepare it for sale. I highly suspect they will hire an attorney. However at this point, I'm just asking out of my own curiousity. This is a REAL bizzare situation. This is rolling out like a made for tv movie.....
