  • John Blume began handling personal injury matters in 1963, four years after he joined his father, Charles, in his Newark office. In 40 years of practice he has led Blume, Goldfaden and developed the firm into one with an outstanding record of achievements. In a May 8, 2000 article, The National Law Journal has reported that the firm is "the most successful medical malpractice plaintiff's firm in New Jersey."

Since the New Jersey Law Journal began publishing a list of the top personal injury and wrongful death verdicts and settlements, Blume Goldfaden has consistently been recognized for results which include in the last five years alone, more than 50 settlements and verdicts of $425,000 to $46.7 million.

During the past 5 years alone, and including only those matters where there have been recoveries in excess of $350,000, our attorneys have obtained more than 320 million dollars in significant verdicts and settlements for our clients in cases of medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death, wrongful birth, auto injuries, workplace accidents and other serious matters of personal injury. We have also secured tens of millions of dollars more in recoveries for hundreds of clients who have had less significant claims and injuries.

How would you quit a job the polite way?

Basically New Labour ran council housing into the ground, arguably even more than Maggie Thatcher did with the big sell-off, because they tried to transfer as much of it as possible to housing associations and where they couldn't they forced councils to set up Arms Length Management Associations if they did not have the budget to meet the Decent Homes Standard.. Housing Associations are supposed to be not-for-profit but they seem to make their non-profits by building a sizable proportion of shared ownership schemes at the expense of rented social housing. The feedback about shared ownership is not good, only a minority of tenants ever manage to buy the share outright to own the property so they are in effect still renting but more expensively.. I think I'm just more concerned though about how bland a lot of the new-build is in terms of design. Council housing was revolutionary in its time and a lot of the 50s flats and houses were exemplary. There were some brutalist concrete estates built in the 1960s, some have been demolished, some have survived and become very trendy, but they are preferable to the standard issue housing association yellow or red brick four storey blocks springing up everywhere now.. English people apparently like living in little sheds rather than flats if they are poor, witness the tenants in Catford, SE London, on the last remaining post WW2 prefab estate who mounted a campaign to try to save their homes. Come the revolution we will therefore nationalise all park homes as a matter of priority.

the living trust is an instrument intended to rule during the remainder of a person's life, to allow someone other than the owner of the assets to control those assets for the benefit of the subject of the trust. Once that person has died, the trust expires, because it is obviously no longer needed.
