• A Chicago native, Howard Bass enrolled at Mankato State University in 1977 to play football.? He was elected student association president in 1980 and graduated the following year in the top 10% of his class with a degree in political science and economics.

  Howard returned to Chicago to attend DePaul University Law School in 1981.? He received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law in 1982, became a managing editor of the DePaul Law Review the following year, and graduated in the top 10% of his class in 1984.

  Fresh out of law school, Howard moved to the Mississippi Delta, the poorest part of America's poorest state, where he practiced as the Assistant Washington County Public Defender in Greenville, Mississippi, from 1984 to 1988.? While there, he became a Mississippi Civil Liberties Union board member and helped elect Mississippi's first African-American Congressman since Reconstruction.? Howard also organized the Mississippi Public Defenders Association and was elected its president in 1987.

  In 1988, Howard returned to Minnesota and became an associate at Thomson & Ellis in St. Paul.? The following year, Howard left Thomson & Ellis to be an associate at Meshbesher, Singer & Spence in Minneapolis.? Other than Hennepin County District Court Judge Jack Nordby, Howard is the only Twin Cities lawyer to have practiced with Doug Thomson and Ron Meshbesher, both legendary Minnesota criminal defense attorneys.

  Howard became a partner at Meshbesher & Spence in 1994 and practiced there until 2004, when he left to form the Bass Law Firm (originally known as?Bass & Peck).? Does anyone know where I can print off a form to change my power of attorney?

I am in the process of working on a college application essay. I am applying for an occupational therapy assistant program at a community college. . The essay instructions: "Complete an essay, not to exceed one page (prefer word processed, standard font, 10 or 12 point), that explains your interest in becoming an OTA.". That's all the instructions I have for it.. Thus far, I have been writing my essay in the form of a cover letter, addressed to the staff of the program. I'm wondering if that is wrong though? Or does it not really matter either way since the essay instructions are somewhat vague?.

The board would have to agree to contract out the handling of the association. The president of the board does not have the power to make unilateral decisions. How is it that all the board members live out of the country? Didn't the homeowners vote on the board? I suggest you speak with some of your neighbors and collectively seek legal advice form a real estate attorney that is familiar with Florida homeowner association regulations. Good Luck

1) Contact your State Bar Association. You need to report this type of behavior. When attorneys consistently miss court appearances, this is usually a sign of a bigger problem (as opposed to just scheduling issues). 2) Fire your attorney, get a new one immediately. 3 missed court appearances is ridiculous and there is no reason to continue on with this attorney. They are jeopardizing your case and costing you time and money.. 3) I would look at your retainer agreement carefully before you pay any money to this attorney. Unless work has actually been performed (meetings, file review, documents filed) you may not owe any money.. . Hold off on a malpractice suit. If you went that way, you would need to show the harm and damage caused by your attorney's actions. If your hearings just keep getting moved and this is more or an annoyance than anything else, just report the behavior and move on to a new attorney.
