• Mr. Peterson is a partner in the Boise office of Moffatt Thomas. His practice focuses upon the areas of workers' compensation, commercial litigation, and health law. Mr. Peterson defends numerous employers and sureties at all stages of worker's compensation matters including at hearings and mediations before the Idaho Industrial Commission and in appellate matters before the Supreme Court of Idaho. Mr. Peterson's workers compensation experience also includes defending the Idaho Guaranty Association and Western Guaranty Fund in workers' compensation cases and representing employers and sureties in compliance matters before the Idaho Industrial Commission.

  Mr. Peterson represents individuals and entities in a wide variety of litigation matters including breach of contract, product liability, negligence, liens, and other general litigation

  Mr. Peterson represents multiple medical providers in various transactional and litigated matters. His health law practice includes the representation of hospitals in medical indigency, collections, medical liens, federal regulatory compliance, and judicial confirmation of contractual relationships with governmental entities. His health law experience also includes representing hospitals in licensing issues and successfully preventing the improper disclosure of mental health records by the Idaho State Department of Health & Welfare.

  Mr. Peterson is a member of the Idaho State Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. Mr. Peterson is an active member of the Workers' Compensation, Litigation, and Health Law Sections of the Idaho State Bar and routinely lectures on these subjects. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chair of the Health Law Section.

  Mr. Peterson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and earned his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School. While at Brigham Young, Mr. Peterson was active in Moot Court and was selected as a 1999 1L Top Oralist, 1999-2001 Team Member and Mentor for the 2L Competition. He was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Monte B. Carlson, at the Fifth District Court for the State of Idaho. He was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Larry M. Boyle at the United States District Court.

We married under special marriage act 1954, and my wife's surname written on certificate is the same which she had before marriage. I would like to know whether now she has got my last name according to the marriage, or will she has to change it? and in case she wants to change it herself or just add my last name with her full name, what is the procedure for that?
