• Donald L. Helder graduated in 1973 with a Business Administration Degree from Ferris State University. He graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1980 and has been practicing law in Big Rapids since June of that year.

  Mr. Helder has a wide range of legal experience, including significant litigation in all Michigan Courts. His current primary areas of practice include business transactions, corporation law, limited liability company law, real estate transactions, family law/divorce, estate planning, wills and trusts, probate matters, landlord/tenant, debt collection and selected criminal matters.

  With?33 years of legal and trial experience throughout Central Michigan, Mr. Helder regularly provides advice and guidance, along with the preparation of documents, necessary to assist clients in numerous legal issues. • Hults and Helder, PLLC started as a sole practice in 1974. Our office is complemented by highly trained, long-term and experienced staff who are knowledgeable in the legal matters handled by the firm.

  In our areas of practice, there are some overlaps in which both members of the firm regularly practice. There are also certain areas in which only one of the members provide services.   Our general office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM through 5:00PM. We have an automated answering voice mail forwarding system available when the office is closed. In addition, other hours are available by specific prearrangement.
