???? I grew up in the Lehigh Valley.? I have been fortunate enough to have lived in Vermont for several years as well as lived up in the Scranton, Lackawanna County area as well.? I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton with a major in history and economics and my juris doctorate degree from Vermont Law School in 1981.???? Fresh out of law school I became a law clerk for the Honorable James Diefenderfer, Court of Common Pleas of Lehigh County.? I immediately thereafter set out to set up my own practice.? I have been, for all intents and purposes, a solo practitioner with the exception of a few years when?I practiced law with my daughter who has since moved to practice law in Philidelphia.? Before that I was an assistant public defender in Northampton County in the 1980’s having tried both civil and criminal trials over the years covering everything from slip and falls to automobile accidents to homicide cases.? In the late 1980’s/early 1990’s I began focusing on workers’ compensation cases.? In the last 20 plus years I have focused almost exclusively on workers’ compensation cases.???? I am admitted to practice law in Northampton County, Lehigh County, Federal District Court for both Eastern and Middle Districts, Lackawanna County.? I am a member and past lecturer for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, as well as the National Business Institute and Northampton County Bar Association.? Many years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to establish the Northampton County Bar Associations Workers’ Compensation Committee, and have chaired the committee over the last 10-12 years.???? Community Service –?My office has been the host of several interns from the Northampton Area Community College pursuing a degree in paralegal studies.? Over the years we have also hosted several younger law students and/or college students to shadow myself or my daughter for purposes of deciding whether or not they want to go to law school.? I have been a lecturer and/or speaker for “Learning for Life”, which is an organization geared towards educating school age children on a variety of educational pursuits.? It has been a pleasure to go into the local schools and talk about the joys and experiences of being an attorney.???? Civil Involvement – I have been fortunate enough to have served on Church finance committees, building committees, additional career day talks at public and Parochial schools and have been involved with coaching various sports including cross country, track and basketball.? I am also a member of the East Rockhill?Planning Commission.???? I have a wide range of hobbies that include a great love and respect for nature including hiking, kayaking, fishing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, etc.??????? I look forward to speaking with you to see if I can help you with your legal issues.? Look at the job appplication. Highlight what attributes they are looking for in the potential candidate.. . 1st paragraph - the purpose of the letter ... (say why you want to work at the company - what makes you excited about working there (is it their products? their excellent reputation? .... ). . 2nd paragraph - explain how you have attributes that they are looking for. Give concrete examples too. (don't just say "I'm hardworking" - everyone and their brother uses that line. Give an example of how you are hardworking!). Yet be brief (I know, this is a bit of a contradiction - but see "4th paragraph" below).. . 3rd paragraph - id some additional strengths you have that they didn't list int he job app.. . 4th - wrap it all up - state that "an interview would be a great way for you to expand upon your strengths & provide more details." State you will call them in two weeks.. . Now - in two weeks, give them a call - ask to see what is going on in the interview process. This is follow-up. It'll look good on you. They either haven't moved on it - in which case, they may pull your resume and call you in - since you are demonstrating "willingness" to work there - OR they are moving on the interviews - and they'll say "sorry you aren't selected or 'yes, come on in'.. . Good luck!

This is a good question for the Florida Real Estate commission to answer on their own. Typically you are breaking the law if you are receiving commissions from leasing property if you do not have a license, but not so if you are a salaried employee of a broker. Where I am from the governing body is very specific what an unlicensed employee can and can't do, but I can't seem to find such restrictions in the Florida Statutes. If you plan to be licensed in th future it is best to clear this issue up asap.

Are they not telling you exactly what the POA is needed for? I'd sign it, as long as the POA clearly limited it to being able to transfer ownership of your specific vehicle (and I'd want the VIN listed on it). They probably need it so they can take the car from you, but not put it in their name, and do a direct transfer of title to the next buyer.

Letter to client requesting to increase professional fees. (Recruitment consultant)?

My bf and I are going to get married. When he was born, his mom gave him her husbands last name, (which is NOT the father of my bf). He's always hated his last name because it wasn't his real dads last name. Now that we're going to get married, he wants our last name to be his real father's name. How can he go about on getting started? Thank you..
