  • Christopher K. Jones focuses his practice primarily on class actions and complex litigation. He was appointed lead counsel in numerous consumer protection class actions, and has also served as defense counsel for many companies facing significant exposure in mass tort litigation and class action. He is currently involved in several Multi District Litigation (MDL) cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Legislative makes the laws (This would be the elected officials). . Executive enforces the laws (police and prosecuting attorneys). . Judicial decides fair punishment for offenders (The courts and corrections). . The important aspect of Legislative, the elected officials make the laws. This is the peoples first involvement. In theory, the officials work for the people and do what is best for them. If not, they get voted out of office. Although this seems to be an excellent idea, not enough people vote to make it fair. The laws usually favor special interest groups and groups with paid lobbists.
