    My Practice

I focus most of my practice on matters related to family law, including:

Divorce. I represent men and women throughout the divorce process, from the initial filing through final judgment and requests for modification or enforcement of final orders. I handle all matters related to divorce, including child custody and visitation/access, child support, alimony and property settlements.Child custody and child support. I will help you establish and implement custody and access agreements that are in the best interests of everyone involved, with the focus on the needs of your children. I will also review all proposed child support orders for compliance with state guidelines and to verify that all relevant income has been factored in to the equation.Adoption. I work with birth parents and adoptive parents, handling open or closed adoptions, as well as agency or private adoptions. I also handle stepparent or grandparent adoptions and terminations of parental rights.

I also represent parties who have lost a jury verdict in a criminal or family law case and want to appeal that verdict. To learn more, see my page on criminal and family law appeals.

Clinical sample has people who have clinical level problems - ie. diagnosed major depression or anxiety etc. A non clinical sample can take people from the community who have no problems or lower level psychological problems. Depends how the particular study conceptualised their sample group. Some studies make clinical samples of those who are in hospital versus those who are treated in the community whilst others its between community treated sample and a student (presumably a generally psychologically healthy) sample.
