I'm a first year student and I'm looking to apply for lots of things to get involved with during my second, third, etc years. Of course, I need letters of recommendations. I have already asked one professor for a letter of recommendation and a form for a recommendation. Being a freshman, I really don't know that many professors already from my field of study. Is it bad to ask a professor twice or even three times for a recommendation? Should I wait a certain amount of time before asking between recommendations? Like, a month?.

Signed and preferably notarized consent forms granting temporary guardianship from the parents should be sufficient for anything you would need to do, such as signing school papers, medical treatment, etc.

I am typing an email to my supervisor about going to lunch. Our relationship is somewhat casual, we joke around and laugh, but I don't want to come across as unprofessional or immature. What do you think?. Hahaha Justin I don't think anything like that would happen, but I will leave it out to be on the safe side. Thanks guys!.

If your father is no longer receptive, you can not require him to execute a power of attorney, the best thing to do is go to court and file a petition for guardianship on behalf of your father and your mother be appointed as his ward. That is the only legal thing to do so that your mother can manage their properties

    * A contract is a contract , it is legal and accepted by law and religion, if it does not contradict with any (red lines God put),, that is for marriage , or forming a company or business... . Marriage in Islam is without any religious ceremony, can be done anywhere, it has known conditions,,,. **- The approval of the two parties . -Two reliable male witnesses. - Announcing... (some sec also add alwali if the pride is not . Sayb),,, . -----. ** those are general conditions applied on any civil . contracts (either for marriage or any other activity). -----. - Sadak : dowry. anyway,,, Those are The Islamic conditions for marriage but I have to mention the following:. 1) The non notarized marriage (which is called 3orfi ) is not recognized by lots of destinations ( hotels- courts- official paperwork regarding inheritance- pension unless with a decision from court), but it is a correct marriage if it has the correct conditions of marriage in Islam. 2)If the Notarized marriage is in secret-- it would violate an Islamic condition in marriage which is announcing,,, which means denying marriage even for one person cancel the marriage- so even with a marriage with Maazon.. but not announced , that is violating to the conditions of marriage). 3) The reason that the non notarized marriage is not recognized by the government, is that the marriage tax is not paid , Paying Taxes (marriage fees) means the ability to have services,, If the marriage is not notarized- tax is not paid,, the government does not interfere in a possible dispute/ conflict in the marriage (deprive its service)...so the courts does not interfere . 4)Notarized marriage between 2 Muslims can be done by maazon who is actually a representative of the notary public (ministry of Justice) with a religious image, Marriage between two Muslims, (if one is not Egyptian ) has to be done in the Notary public .. and between a Muslim and christian/ Jew even if they are Egyptians as well. 5) There is a mix between civil marriage, and 3arfi marriage,,, Actually all the marriages are civil as I said there is no religious ceremony in Islam concerning marriage,, but the 3arfi marriage is just a non notarized marriage.... 6) Marriage in a Mosque without the official notarized contract will still make the marriage 3arfi although it is correct,,,religiously but not official (not recognized by the government). ------Again Marriage in Islam does not need any religious ceremony (but the Christian marriage needs) does not have to be done by a cleric, and can be done anywhere (does not have to be in a mosque),, if you look thoroughly, it is like any civil contracts (approval+witness, no denial),, the same rules of any civil contract are applied (you can even put any other conditions as agreed between the two parties ,which do not contradict with the basis , as done in any other contract,,. . Ps: if the civil contracts generally contain what contradict any Sharea3a laws , they will be null and not legal in Egypt,,That is in marriage and any other activity,, . as an example: A will is not recognized if it does not have the correct( Shar3ee) shares and that is even if done out of Egypt, (cannot be executed in Egypt but applied in the two parties if they are both not Egyptians, which waive the Egyptian authority the right to persecute any of the parties),, Hence, Marriage contracts between the same genders, or between a non Muslim man-A Muslim girl will not be legal in Egypt even if it is done out of Egypt.... . ------ESC
