Sold car. No bill of sale. I signed title over. Filing Notice of Sale in the morning. What if repairs come up?

My money is in his, and my Grandmothers( deceased) bank. The bank won't allow me to use the card, or anything. I was wondering if there's a ways to help me on this. I have 2 things I need answers,mostly..

How would you rate my resume?

Here in the US, combined estate taxes and income taxes can top 85% if proper planning and implementation of defense mechanisms has not occurred. Certain types of trusts, gifting plans and charitable gift planning can help immensely with taxes.

I'd like to have the advice of somebody who has ever worked for an accounts receivable department or a collection company. Or maybe somebody who has definite facts (not speculation).. . Story:. . I am 28 years old and back when I was 19, a boyfriend at the time (clearly no longer), asked me to cosign a vehicle for him. Being 19, and never really being taught about how credit works, I said yes. I cosigned the vehicle for him, he got it and life was good. So I thought. A few months later he told me he didn't want the car anymore and that he was going to sell it and get another one so he asked me to sign for that one. So i thought it was just a transfer, so I did. Fast forward, It appears the first car had gotten reposessed for whatever reason and I'm not sure, but there's about a $400 balance on it. The second car he was leading me to believe he was making regular payments on, which he never did. So what happened was the bank was sending letters to my address, but because I had moved, I never got them to know he was defaulting on his payments. So I'm living my life, paying all MY bills on time, and I wake up and see a bailiff at my door telling me they're looking for the car to repo it. Did I mention that apparently, this guy used a fake social insurance number to get the car. So he used a fake one for him so it was never on his own credit, but used my REAL one. Didn't find that out until afterwards. Long story short, they repossessed the car and there was a huge balance of about $18,000 left on it to pay.. . Today:. . I am looking to get a mortgage and I pulled my bureau (Equifax) to see if there was anything negative on it. There's nothing. I hadn't heard from the bank in years, nor have I talked to the guy in years, so I assumed the whole issue was taken care of. So nothing showed up on my Equifax. However, my mortgage broker told me something about Trans Union, So I called them and they said that on my Trans Union credit file, it shows that I owe the bank $400 (from that first car). So they gave me the bank's phone number to call, which I did. When I called the bank, the girl I spoke with told me that she sees 2 balances that I owe them. $400 for that first car...and $20,000 for the second one. The $20,000 does NOT show up on either my equifax or trans union. I guess they stopped reporting and it fell off due to inactivity. She told me that I should call the collection company and make arrangements and see what they can do, as the file is no longer with the bank, it's with the collection company. She didn't even ask me to update my information or anything because they still have my 8 year old address on it. Needless to say, I did NOT call the collection company and I'm leaving it as is.
