So, I originally started to look into service dogs to help with my anxiety. Then, as I was reading up on autism service dogs, I found out all the things that they can help me with. Poor balance, overstimulation/meltdown/shutdown, self-harming behaviors, self-stimulation(example:rocking), and reminding me to take my pills. And, if I understood correctly, I guess if trained properly they can sense an anxiety attack coming on and can warn me to take a break. That would REALLY help at work/school. So, then I started looking on how to get one for relatively cheap (cuz I'm broke and can't afford a $15,000-20,000 dog TT_TT) or better yet, free. But all I can find for free or cheap are all programs for children. And, although I'm sure my grandma would have liked having a dog that would fetch me everytime I wondered off or ran away as a kid, I'm already 20 years old. So can anybody help me out?.
