• Hello, my name is Natalia Segermeister. I graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2007 with Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Criminology. In 2011, I earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, I interned at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), where I aided in the organization's advocacy efforts by drafting legal analyses of anti-immigrant legislation, writing comments to proposed rules in the Code of Federal Regulations, answering specific case queries by contacting the CIS Ombudsman's Office, and assisting with the BIA Pro Bono Project to place immigration cases with pro bono counsel. I also dedicated my coursework to immigration issues and was awarded a Certificate in Refugee and Humanitarian Emergencies. In 2012, I worked as a Project Attorney for the CLINIC's Legal Orientation Program for Custodians of Unaccompanied Alien Children (LOPC) where, along with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) attorneys, I supervised orientations given throughout the country to custodians of children who entered the United States unaccompanied. This program has been instrumental in lowering in absentia removal orders in cases of unaccompanied minors. I also worked at Right Size Law, PLLC working on immigration, landlord tenant, and bankruptcy cases.
