• I was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. During college, I traveled to Alaska and began working seasonally at a salmon cannery in Naknek, Alaska. I worked as a member of the beachgang crew for Trident Seafoods from 1992-1998. I also obtained my undergraduate degree in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1998. Then I returned to Alaska and worked as a barge-worker/heavy equipment operator for Northland Marine Services in Seattle and Alaska from 1998-2000. For Northland, I was a member of the Alaska crew and worked the winter Opilio crab season in the Pribilof Islands and the summer barge season throughout southwestern Alaska.

  I attended the University of Nebraska College of Law from 2000-2003, and obtained a dual degree, Juris Doctor and Masters in Community and Regional Planning. I was a Nebraska Moot Court canidate member in 2000-2001 and graduated in the top third of my law school class. I worked during law school for the City of Lincoln/Lancaster County Planning Department, the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources Legal Department, and the California Coastal Commission Enforcement Division.

  After graduating from law school, I returned to Alaska and worked in the private an public sector for a number of years, primarily in the areas of insurance defense and municipal law. I began my own practice after working for the State of Alaska as an assistant attorney general in the Torts and Workers' Compensation section.?

  My practice focuses on the representation of injured workers in Alaska workers' compensation cases. ?I have an of counsel relationship with the Law Offices of Michael J. Jensen. I am a member of the Alaska Bar Association and am licensed to practice law in the Alaska State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska.
