I want to change my name to my husbands and also our son's. Our sons is different because we originally decided to name him after his grandparents but now we would all like the carry the same name. I planned on going to the social security office tomorrow but do i need to bring my son with me? [he's 2] My husband will not be able to go. Does anyone know what it takes to change last names in Texas?.

I am writing this petition with the hopes that I be granted financial aid. I realize that in the past I was not attent to the classes I was taking and more devoted to the two jobs that I have had. Now I realize that I want more in life and wish to continue going to college.. The last time I was at school, it is true that I took on more than I could handle. I was trying to go to school full time while working two jobs and those situations and some dental issues complicated the matter. With that I realize that I had to drop 3 of my classes, when the truth is that I should of known better and now when I plan on going to school, I will go "slow and steady" knowing to always keep a good work/school balance and not take over 9 credit hours (this sentence is personally recommended by Elaine G). Part of my planning on going back to college will show that I am a more responsible individual because of said experience. I know now that I must decrease my working hours to be more attent to school and save money to take care of bills and school expenses. I am trying to not only prove to myself but to the school that I can do better and live my dreams. Seeing that I am approaching graduation, I really need financial aid so that I can focus on school and graduate. I do not want to be another person that drops out of school merely because I don't have the funding for it. Please allow me to obtain financial aid.. I will meet any conditions that you need for further consideration, if you see them appropriate. . Personal note:I don't think that anyone working over 30 hours should go to school full time. I did something like this, paying out of pocket (ouch!) and still had to drop a class. I can totally relate.. . most colleges will place you on "financial aid" probation and put conditions on you like only taking 6-9 credit hours or taking a course called "being successful in college". . Also note that Kyle is inconsiderate, unmotivational and very discouraging. I hope that one day she has to pay like $2000 every semester or something...

I've heard of it too and I don't like it. It's basically like creating a Golem that you can't see. People that I know who have created thought forms used them to guard the house and for other purposes and when you are done with them you are supposed to do something to remove them from existence otherwise they might hang around without a purpose and cause problems. I've also heard that they are attached to you because you created them.

When I got married, I took my husband's name. We ended up getting divorced (it ended good, we just weren't right for each other and are still friends), and I didn't change my name back. I had been in a business where my clients at my company only new me by my married name. I didn't want to change it back and have to explain it. Plus with all the systems and email and other programs that I would have had to change back, plus my license and my SS card...it just would have been a pain.. . If I get married again, I'll take my new husband's name. If my guy and I get married, I'd be proud to bear his name. And it has never bothered me when someone refers to a woman as Mrs. John Smith. I know there are people out there that don't believe in this, as the term Mrs. actually stemmed from "mister's", showing ownership of the wife in the technical sense. But it doesn't bother me. I guess I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to this. But you're marrying the person you love - why wouldn't you take their name?
