need to change last name on email addy?

I kept my maiden name. Now I want to change my last name to his name. Since I didn't take his last name on the marriage license, will I have problems? What do I need to do to change my last name to his now?. Actually, the problem is I didn't use his last name on my MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, not license. So now I am concerned that if I go to the social security office, they will want to see a legal document with his name being used as my new name. Can I change my name if I didn't write it on the marriage certificate?.

My spouse and I need to be at the titling office when we close. However my spouse is out of the state for work on the closing dates. They said we need a Power Of Attorney.
